What is 'international students fes 2016'?

"To support the international students who work hard here in Japan and help establishing the society where young people with different cultural background can flourish."
With this concept, this year will be the first and the largest "Intl Student Festival" event held in Japan.

Through events and video streaming contents, we will introduce the hard working bright international students and their variety of stories through Japan and the world.

What is 'BIS AWARD'?

The main program of the event is "Brightest Intl Student Award", which is to find out who will be the most shining foreign female student out there.

For the foreign female students who have come here to study and to fulfill their dreams, anybody can apply and participate in this contest as long as they are currently living in Japan.

Requirements

Award theme
"Let's find out who will be the most shining foreign student out there!"
Requirements
  • Female international students
  • 18 years of age and older
  • Being enrolled at academic institution in Japan (including Japanese language institution and professional training college) as international students as of Sep 2016
  • Willing to participate in activities which provide a bridge between Japan and the home country
  • Willing to participate in making short movie based on the theme “Create a self-appealing video explaining the moment you think you are shining and having the most fun time in Japan” (Your video will be also voted to the public)

Criteria
  1. Int'l BridgingThe ability to link both Japan and the home country together
  2. Social InfluenceWith sufficient language skills and global sense, positively convey information about their home country and Japan
  3. CooperationProactively reach out to the people around, and see if it is possible to pull out the active cooperation
  4. Hard WorkingHave ability to pursue their dreams and new challenges

  • Appointed the PR ambassador of "BIS 2016" To promote international school programs by participating in events and being on media
  • Being casted on TV program and online program produced by ABC, which introduce Japan to the home country (The program may/may not be broadcasted depending on the country and the production schedule)
